NEW COMET
DISCOVERY BY SYDNEY SCIENTIST. Sydney, June 9. Mr W. F. Gale, the local astronomer, states that he has discovered a new comet. He gives its position as right ascension 21 hours 38 minutes, declination south 31 degrees 38 minutes. He says it presented a diffused circular mass condensed near the middle. The comet is visible only by telescope and is near the star Theta.—A. and N.Z.
