EASTERN DISTRICT SUB-UNION. WEEKLY MEETING. The weekly meeting of the Management Committee of the Eastern District SubUnion was held last evening, there being present Messrs E. Wallis, senr (chair), M. Fitzgerald, J. Lenihan, F. M. Murray, G. Whittingham, C. McConnell, J. W. Aitken, R. Blair, E. M. Christie, I. Martin, R. Robertson, H. G. Wallis and R. S. Green. CORRESPONDENCE. M. Healy, secretary of the Waimate Rugby Sub-Union wrote inquiring if it was possible for the Eastern Sub-Union to send a team to Waimate this season. It was understood that a match was being played with North Otago at Oamaru, and it was thought that possibly the tour could be extended to include Waimate, the game to be played on the Thursday previous to the Oamaru match. The North Otago Union wrote asking on what date it was proposed to visit Oamaru this year. It was decided to refer both letters to the Southland Union and to write to the Waimate Sub-Union asking if they would be prepared to return the visit. The Pioneer Football Club advised that they had no objections to the transfer of R. Graham to the Albion Club.—Received. The Edendale Club advised that they found it impossible to field their first fifteen at 2.30 p.m. and would be obliged if matches were set back until 3 p.m.—Match to be played not later than 3 p.m. The secretary of the S.R.F.U. wrote stating that the following boundaries had been confirmed by the executive: —Southern SubUnion: From mouth of Waipati along stream to western end of Table Ridge, thence along and to centre of Forest Range; thence along black line to junction of Woodslea Downs road; along Woodslea Down road to junction of main Invercargill-Pine Bush road; thence to Mataura Island backwater at smithy; from smithy down backwater and Mataura river to Bush road at McLennan’s property; thence along Bush road to junction of Morton Mains-Gorge Road road at Moyles’ property; along Morton MainsGorge Road to Oteramika road; thence along Oteramika road to monument; down Mokotua-Kapuka road to Lawson’s road and down Lawson’s road to the sea. Eastern Sub-Union: From Oteramika road to Hunter’s road and main highway; thence to Dacre hall; from Dacre hall via the old main road to the corner of the Pebbly Hills road and along this road to Glencoe; thence along the main Gore road to Waitane; then along the road to Mr Friedlander’s at Reaby comer; thence along through the Gorge to . Retreat road at Otamita comer; from there follow the retreat road to Mandeville school; thence across the Waimea stream and the railway line to Miller’s road; then to the Mataura river, connecting with Mcßains’ road to Mrs Mee’s (Blackhills) road; along the Blackhills road round to the county boundary.—Received. The Pukerau Club wrote complaining of the action of the Pioneer Club in defaulting the second grade match last Wednesday. An explanation was also forwarded hv the Pioneer Club. y A fine of 10/- was imposed on the Pioneer Club. H. Sims applied for a transfer from Pioneer to- Albion.—Granted subject to Pioneer raising no objection. The Town Clerk, Wyndham, advised that permission had been granted to charge for admission to Wyndham Domain on June 15.—Council to be thanked. A discussion occurred on the number of rounds to be played in the senior competition, and it was decided finally that only two rounds be played.
