THE RIVERINA

POSSIBILITY OF REFLOATING. Sydney, May 7. Mr T. J. Parker, a director of the Huddart Parker Shipping Company, is of the opinion that the Riverina can be refloated. He said a deep channel had formed alongside the Riverina on the shore side, and that there was eight feet of water on the seaward side. The steamer had been moved about 14 feet along the beach by the action of the w'aves. It is hoped to re float her at the time of the high tides, about May 14.—A. and N.Z.
