SOUTH ISLAND REVENUE FUND. CONFERENCE TO BE HELD SHORTLY. (Per United Press Association.) Dunedin, May 6. A conference of representatives of counties and motor organisations will be held in Christchurch on May 18 for the purpose of discussing what steps shall be taken to secure the distribution of the sum of £400,000 forming the revenue fund of the South Island Main Highways Board and to formulate some concrete proposals for the improvement of the Dominion highways generally. At this conference the “good roads” scheme which has been put forward by the Otago Motor Club will be discussed.
