THEFT ALLEGED
LARGE SUM INVOLVED YOUNG MAN CHARGED. (Per United Press Association.) Christchurch, April 5. William John Sullivan, aged 25, was remanded for a week and ordered to report daily to the police on a charge of between June 30, 1924 and March 19, 1927, receiving sums of money totalling £950 on terms requiring him to account for same to the Canadian Government Merchant Marine Co., Ltd., and did fraudently fail to do so, thereby committing theft.
