IMPERIAL CONFERENCE’S PROPOSALS. (Rec. 5.5 p.m.) London, December 4. Following the decision of the Imperial Conference regarding the desirability of encouraging Empire films the Government is drafting a bill to prevent blind and block booking and providing a compulsory quota, beginning with five per cent. The operation of the quota, however, will be postponed for a year from the date of the legislation to enable the producers to meet the demand.—A. and N.Z.
