CYCLIST’S DEATH

KNOCKED DOWN BY LORRY. VERDICT AT INQUEST. (Per United Press Association.) Palmerston North, December 3. The adjourned inquest into the circumstances attending the death of Cyril Alfred Kreagher, aged 27, who died in the Palmerston North Hospital consequent upon injuries received through being knocked down by a motor lorry while cycling on Kimbolton road on the evening of November 23. The Coroner found that deceased died from a ruptured bowel caused through being knocked down by a lorry driven by Arthur John McElroy. The Coroner said he did not propose commenting on the culpability of the driver as even if not a criminal there might be a civil action.
