MR COATES ON TOUR
VISIT TO FRANCE INTENDED. London, December 2. Mr Coates will probably sail in the first week in January. Meanwhile he is inquiring into railway fuel economies adaptable to New Zealand conditions. He goes to France next week, visits the battlefields, and unveils several New Zealand memorials. When in Paris he presents the French Rugby Federation with a shield on behalf of the Maoris. Later he visits Ireland to receive an honorary Doctorship of Laws in Dublin.—A. and N.Z.
