ABSCONDER FROM BAIL
NEW ZEALANDER CAUGHT IN SYDNEY. (Rec. 9.30 p.m.) Sydney, December 2. Alfred Duncan, who arrived as a stowaway from New Zealand, failed to pass the dictation test and was sentenced to a month’s hard labour pending deportation to New Zealand. The police stated that Duncan absconded from bail in New Zealand where he was awaiting trial on charges of breaking and entering.—A. and NX.
