“The Shooting Party,” a hith • j untranslated long novel by Anton .Chekhov, the Russian writer, is to be issued by Mr Stanley Paul. P. F. Warner has written a book giving a full account of this year’s visit of the Australian cricketers. It is being illustrated from official and other photographs, and it will be published by the Harraps. They also announce the story of Major Court-Treatt’s successful expedition from the Cape to Cairo, by motor-car, and by British territory all the way. The book has been written by Mrs Court-Treatt, who accompanied her husband on the journey, ; and shared all its hazards.
