LABOUR DAY COMPETITION. The results of the Labour Day competition, which was open to members of the Southland and kindred clubs on any stream in Southland are as follows: W. Aitken, 11 fish (heaviest 31bs) 191bs. R. Ure, 25 fish, 181bs 81ozs. D. Wishart, 25 fish (heaviest 21bs 3ozs) 151bs Sozs. L. Whelam, 21 fish, 141bs Bozs. H. A. Lyons, 6 fish (heaviest 41bs) 141bs. R. Boyd, 9 fish (heaviest 21bs lOozs) 13lbs 3ozs. T. Copeland, 3 fish (heaviest 51bs) lOibs. J. Ure, 25 fish, 91bs 6025. W. Aitken took the first prize for the heaviest bag, R. Ure took the second prize for the largest number of fish (his bag being subject, to a handicap of 10 per cent, reducing tdic weight to 16lbs llozs), T. Copeland took the third prize for the heaviest fish, and L. Whelam took the novice prize.
