BIBLE IN SCHOOLS
THE WANGANUI WRANGLE. INDIGNATION MEETING HELD. (Per United Press Association.) Wanganui, October 27.
A sequel to the recent discussion by the Wanganui Education Board which refused to hear a deputation from the Ministers' Association regarding the Bible in schools and censured Archdeacon Meredith for murmuring, “Hear, hear” in the course of a debate, was a crowded public indignation meeting to-night, and a motion deprecating the board’s attitude and protesting against its high-handed tactics was carried. A referendum of parents regarding Bible instruction is to be taken.
