HON. O. J. HAWKEN
VISIT TO BLENHEIM. (Per United Press Association.) Blenheim, October 27. The Hon. O. J. Hawken, Minister of Agriculture, arrived to-night and was accorded a civic reception. He received a deputation urging that imported lucerne seed should be stained and that the old import duty of £1 per ton on chaff imported from Australia should be imposed. The Minister undertook to look into the matter and expressed himself sympathetically in regard to the staining of lucerne.
