PREMIUM BONUSES

SYSTEM OBJECTED TO. (Per United Press Association.) Wanganui, October 27. A meeting of the local branch of the A.S.R.S. protested to-night against the introduction of the premium bonus system among railway workers. Speakers were convinced that instead of giving extra reward for services rendered the system would involve the equivalent of a reduction ip wages and, further, that investigations have proved the risk of accident to be accentuated and an intolerable sweating system promoted wherever the premium bonus was introduced.
