WOLVES IN PRUSSIA

COUNTRYSIDE OVERRUN. £25 A HEAD OFFERED. Berlin, October 24. Wolves are overrunning East Prussia to such an extent that £25 is being offered for every wolf shot. They attacked five villages, besides farms. Scores of sheep and cattle have been maimed. The invasion is due to conditions in Russia, where the numbers have enormously increased owing to the virtual suspension of wolf hunts.—Sun Gable.
