FALSE PRETENCES

BOGUS SALESMAN. IMPRISONMENT IMPOSED. (Per United Press Association.) Wellington, September 3. Two terms of three months consecutive imprisonment were imposed on William Frederick Hodson, alias Roy, alias Moir, by Mr Riddell, S.M., to-day on six charges of obtaining money to the extent of £1 15/- by false pretences, by going round pretending to be a salesman for the Nelson Fruitgrowers, Ltd. Accused is already undergoing sentence on 20 charges of a similar nature in Palmerston North.
