ENDEAVOURS TO RALLY. RESTORATION OF UNITY DESIRED. (Rec. 5.5 p.m.) London, June 12. The Liberal Parliamentary candidates, after hearing Mr Lloyd George, appointed a deputation to wait on Lord Oxford and Asquith and convey to him their strong desire for the restoration of complete unity within the party under his leadership. A letter was read from the Right Hon. Philip Snowden denying that Mr Lloyd George made any approaches to the Labour Party.—A. <fc N.Z.
