ESCAPE FROM BORSTAL
YOUNG MAN AT LARGE. AN EARLY MORNING GETAWAY. A young man named Darrel Barnaby, aged 21 years, escaped from the Borstal Institution farm at 4.30 o’clock yesterday morning. It appears that Barnaby was sent out to fetch in the horses for the day’s work, and failed to return. His escape was not noticed for some time, so he was favoured with a good start, and the authorities are unable to state the direction he took. The police or prison authorities are anxious for information regarding his movements. Barnaby’s description is as follows: Height sft 7|in, dress, moleskin trousers and blue coat (the Borstal Institution uniform), fresh complexion, brown eyes, medium nose, slight build, scar on right side of the chin, tip of the right middle finger stiff, scar on left thumb and forefinger.
