EARTHQUAKE
A SHARP SHOCK. (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) SYDNEY, November 8. A distant earth tremor, accompanied by loud rumblings, was felt near Canowindra. Several brick houses were cracked, and utensils were dislodged from the shelves. At Cargo, 14 miles away, the hotel walls were cracked, and bottles were shaken from the shelves and counto*.
