JURY DISAGREES
HAMILTON MANSLAUGHTER CASE. (Per United Pnaa Aaaociatioa.) AUCKLAND, November a. In the Supreme Court, the Jury, after four femes’ deliberation failed to agree on a charge of manslaughter against Joseph Balle, in respect to the death st Hamilton of Maurice Enoch Ansell, who was knocked down by a motor driven by accused an May 8. ■ . Deceased was riding a bicycle, behind which accused's car-came up, and then deceased turned to the right. Accused swerved, but hit the bicycle. The defence was to the effect that accused had exercised reasonable care in attempting to pass the cyclist. A new trial at the next criminal sessions at Auckland was ordered, a change of venue having been granted from Hamilton for the .original hearing.
