FIRST MATCH OF SEASON. BLUFF v TISBURY. The nrst cricket match of the season took place at Bluff on Saturday, when a local deven tried conclusions with Tisbury. Tisbury batting first could not do anything with the bowling of Winter and Bradshaw and were all out for 21 runs. Two splendid catches in the slips by G. According to advice received by the Chairman of the New Zealand Cricket Council, a visit from a West Indies team will not take place during the coming season, as the M.C.C. team is about to visit the West Indies. In consequence, it will be impossible to send a team to New Zealand,, but the West Indies authorities ore prepared to consider a visit to New Zealand next season.
