The Daily Herald quotes a speech made by Mr Brockway, leader of the independent Labour Party, during a visit to Berlin. In this he said that his party accepted the Dawes plan‘as a temporary expedient, but when Socialism triumphed in Great Britain, France, and Germany the Dawes Plan and the Versailles Treaty would be swept aside as unjust and impossible documents.
