VICE-REGAL YACHTSMEN

PROSPECTS FOR SYDNEY. VISIT FROM LORD JELLICOE. (By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright.) I Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) SYDNEY, September 9. It is reported that Viscount Jellicoe intends to participate in the forthcoming yachting events at Sydney, and is desirous of measuring his skill against the GovernorGeneral and State Governor. It is understood that Mr Percy Arnott has offered Viscount Jellicoe the use of his yacht “Wattle” for the Vice-Regal contest. Sydney yachtsmen may this season witness a notable Vice-Regal trio competing in races on their harbour. A Sydney paper says:—“lt was announced at the annual meeting of the Royal Prince Alfred Yacht Club that Admiral Lord Jellicoe, GovernorGeneral of New Zealand, would visit Sydney during the coming sailing season and would probably compete in a race for 21ft restricted class yachts. If this hope is realised, Sydney will have for the first time in its history, three Vice-Regal competitors in one race, as the Governor-General, Lord Forster and the Governor of New South Wales, Sir Dudley de Chair, will race a restricted yacht this season.”
