LIGHT AND POLITICS.
To the Editor. Sir, —Your correspondent, “2 J Candle Power’s” letter re the lighting of the Edendale Railway Station is decidedly amusing. Poor old Bill Massey, he was blamed for the war, the slump, and the railway strike fiasco, and his latest stunt is to neglect the cowspankers of the Edendale district by failing to' flood their railway station with electric light. Apparently “2* Candle Power” is in a bad way and if his condition does not improve we will do our best to provide him with a good hurricane lantern, or a packet of the finest Burmah candles. In the meantime perhaps Mr W. D. Hunt can throw a little light on the subject, failing that a visit to one of our leading opticians is strongly recommended. Your correspondent’s wail is as the voice of one crying in the wilderness, and Bill Massey will be returned to power stronger than ever, I am, etc., “REFLECTOR.”
