SOUDAN’S FATE
EGYPT WOULD GRAB IT. “EXPEL THE ENGLISH.” (Sun Special.) LONDON, June 14. ‘You have an army! Why not join the Soudanese and expel the English?” shouted Deputies, when Zaghloul Pasha (the Egyptian Prime Minister) appealed for a chance to “wrest the Soudan from the usurpers’ by negotiation.” The Budget estimate of the Egyptian Government provides for an increase in the Egyptian military forces and the creation of naval and air forces, says a message from Cairo.
