MONUMENT TO HISTORIC VILLAGE. (By Telegraph—Press Assn. —Copyright.) (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) PARIS, June 18. (Received June 19, 8 p.mj. Le Journal suggests in connection with the Thiepval monument that the column should be erected .and inscribed: “Here was born, and here lived for several centuries, the village of Thiepval, which died on the field of Honour.” The authorities are considering the proposal.
