Croad * Wallacetown) was also responsible for a six-pounder taken on a minnow. At Lochiel one rod secured 7 nice fish on the fly. Mr D. Jenkins and mate in the same locality grassed a dozen fish, the heaviest if which weighed 5 lbs. At Benmore Messrs T. W. Vickery and R. Kidd creeled 25 fish, mostly on the Haggard fly. I am pleased to report that our,esteemed angling friend, “Red Spinner,” on Wednesday afternoon, landed a beautiful sea-run trout on the fly at Thompson’s Crossing. The fish turned the scale at 14lbs weight. Other large fish were tempted to rise, and it seems that the long anticipated run of fish is now an established fact. Anglers, fishing this week-end should be on the qui-vi?, and make certain that their tackle is m first-class order, as nothing is more annoying than to lose a good fish through faulty gear.
