SWIMMING

(By “Taniwba.”) It was very pleasing to see the way the townspeople supported the Campers’ Aquatic Chib in their annual carnival last Wednesday. The able committee had arrangements well in hand, and the proceedings would have gone off well if the rain had not come on; there was also a very strong wind to contend with. However most of the swimming events were decided, and some good close races were witnessed. A novel innovation, and one which is worth fostering, was the mosquito fleet race, which caused much amusement, and was responsible for some very close and exciting finches.
