SIXPENNY THRIFT
CHURCH MONEY MAY BE SCARCE. LONDON, November 25. “Save every sixpence” is the slogan of London’s growing army of thrifty married men, who are keeping all the sixpences they receive as change, and handing them over to their wives. One man has saved 1420 sixpences in nine months. The practice is extending so rapidly that there threatens to be a shortage of sixpences.
