'EVERYBODY’S DOING IT?’ AN OHIO CONSPIRACY. (By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright.) (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) NEW YORK, December 16. (Received December 16, 11 p.m.) The New York Times’ correspondent at Tiffin (Ohio), telegraphs that the Mayor and twenty-four other prominent citizens of that city have been indicted by a Federal Grand Jury charging them with conspiracy to manufacture and sell liquor. The activities of the groups were spread over a large territory, and involved an annual business believed to exceed 1,000,000 dollars. It continued to operate without molestation through the inactivity of the police ’ departments, and as a result of the Mayor’s influence. Several convivial parties, however, were given by the group and resulted in a scandal. The Federal Grand Jury, after investigating the case for three months, ultimately returned the indictments.
