FATALITY AT FORTROSE

TWO LADS DROWNED. Police Inspector McNamara received a telephone message at 2.15 p.m. yesterday that Mauna Davis, 18 years, of age and Patino Davis, 11 years (brothers) were drowned in the Mataura River near Fortrose at 8.13 a.m. yesterday. TTiey were in a boat, when a rough cross wind, caused it to capsize. Both bodies were recovered later and taken to the residence of their parents at Fortrose. The facts have been communicated to the Coroner, Mr G. Cruickshank, who will hold an inquest today.
