REBUILDING JAPAN
BUDGET ESTIMATES REDUCED. COMPREHENSIVE LEGISLATIVE PROGRAMME. (By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright.) TOKIO, November 14. The estimates of the ordinary Budget for 1924 is 1,270,000,000 yen, being a reduction of 104,000,000 on the current year’s figures. It has been further agreed to cut 107,000,000 in the expenditure for the rest cf the current year. The Diet holds a special session to consider the reconstruction vote credits sanctioned after the earthquake, and to consider the Government programme, including a manhood suffrage law', recognising the regulation of trade unions, relations cf landlord and tenant and the Arbitration Act.
