TROTSKY WOUNDED

SHOT IN THE HEAD. (By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright.) (The Times.) LONDON, November 14. A Moscow message reports that Trotsky’s non-attendance at the Red revolution anniversary celebrations on the 7th inst. w’as stated to be due to sudden illness but was really due to an attempt on his life. When he was delivering a speech a revolver shot from the auditorium hit Trotsky on the head. The greatest secrecy is maintained as to the extent of the wound. It is reported that a surgeon from Munich has arrived at Moscow and is attending to Trotsky.
