STRIKE OF TELEPHONE OPERATORS. / BOSTON, June 23. A serious position has been created in business circles here owing to a strike of telephone operators. This morning 7000 operators ceased work, and, as a result, business is being seriously hampered. Many people who were ignorant of the position, spent much time and patience vainly endeavouring to communicate with friends and clients. In some cases firms lost important orders for goods.
