(Received June 24, 5.5 p.m.) A strange story is related of an arrest in connection with two peasant brothers in a village of Bosnia. In company with a few neighbours they opened the grave of their recently buried father and took out his body and burned it, replacing the ashes in the coffin. They later confessed their guilt, saying that their action was instigated by their mother. They declared that on the night of the funeral the father’s ghost visited the mother and prevented her sleeping. On the second night the ghost re appeared and robbed the whole household in their sleep.
