SPLITTING NOTES
A BLENHEIM FRAUD. (Per United Press Association). BLENHEIM, June 20. Some patent dishonest person has been spending time recently neatly splitting pound notes, so that he can obtain £3 for every two notes operated on. When split the fronts of the notes are sent back into while the two backs are glued together and thus pass anything but a careful scrutiny. Two of these notes have come under the attention of the Blenheim police in the last few days.
