INCENDIARISM
OCCUPANT’S NARROW ESCAPE. (Per United Press Association). ASHBURTON, June 14 Sprinkling three outer doors of a house at Stavely with petrol an incendiary, who is unknown, then set the house alight in the small hours. The noise awoke the occupant, R. F. Ford, whose exit was barred by two doors being barricaded. Breaking through the third he reached the outside and extinguished the flames. The police are investigating.
