BIG PRICES AT SALE. LONDON. May 29. First edition of Kipling’s work have been sold by aution at Sotheby’s. A presentation copy of “Schoolboy Lyrics” realised £228, and a copy of “Plain Tales from the Hills” £9B. For a collection of newspaper extracts and contributions to Indian and English journals £5O was the final offer. The sum of £560 was offered for a collection of first editions, but as this did not reach the reserve it was decided to sell them separately.
