SCIENCE CONGRESS

PAN-PACIFFC GATHERING. (By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright.) (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) SYDNEY, May 3. Arrangements are progressing for holding a pan-Pacific Science Congress towards the expenses of which the Commonwealth Government voted £5OOO. There will be two sessions, one being held in Melbourne from August 13 to 22, and the other in Sydney from August 23 to September 3. Invitations have been sent to 250 leading scientific societies in countries either -bordering on the Pacific or having direct interests therein.
