ITALIAN PARTICIPATION. LEAGUE OF NATIONS SCHEME (By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright.) (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association). GENEVA, October 4. Italy has agreed to participate in the League of Nations modified scheme for assisting Austria financially. A committee of five, under Lord Balfour, recommends that- the control of Austrian finance be vested in a High Commissioner nominated by the League, who shall reside in Vienna, and a commission of control meeting in Geneva periodically.
