TRANS-ATLANTIC COMMUNICATION A SUCCESSFUL EXPERIMENT (By Telegraph.—-Press Assn.—Copyright). (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association). NEW YORK, October 1. (Received October 2, 7.25 p.m.) Sir Thomas Lipton yesterday, for the first time successfully sent a message by radio across the Atlantic, according to a cable receive<l to-day from Sir Thomas Upton's London address. Singing was also heard more or less distinctly. Sir Thomas Lipton used 400 metre wave length apparatus in New York.
