A NEW WORLD
MRS BESANTS PROPHECY. (By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright) (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association) SYDNEY, May 22. (Received May 22, 7.5 p.m.) Mrs Besant. in a lecture, announced the •volution of a new sub-race and the coming emergence of a great world teacher. The beginnings of the new sub-race were most marked in America. It was believed that the new teacher would appear soon, giving a new impulse to spiritual life. Mrs Besant added that in England earth, air, and water had been polluted by men of modern days. The beautiful country of their forefathers had been destroyed by the greed of men and the accumulation of wealth. Their problems needed superhuman intelligence and superhuman love and justice to build up a society which was brotherly in its foundations and would grow with brotherhood as its ideal. In that new civilisation service would become cooperative instead of competitive, and men would become brothers in reality.
