ENGINEERS MEET
WILL RESIST REDUCTION READY TO HELP OTHER AUSTRALIAN UNIONS (By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright.) (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) SYDNEY, May 14. (Received May 14, 5.5 p.m.) A meeting of engineers carried a motion resisting any reduction in wages or increase in hours, and undertaking to act in conjunction with all other unions in an endeavour to combat any lowering of the standard of living. All union leaders will meet on Monday to discuss the new wage.
