Scores of men and women have offered to accompany him. Lieut.-Colonel L. E. Broom, of the Engineers has been definitely chosen to take charge of the photographic and cinematographic work. He will also conduct geological explorations at certain points. Lieut.-Colonel Broom was formerly a civil engineer at Aleutian islands. TRANS-ATLANTIC FLIGHT RIO DE JANEIRO, May 12. The Portugese cruiser Republic has wirelessed that the two Portugese airmen attempting the Trans-Atlantic flight, have been picked up by the British steamer City of Paris. They fell into the sea shortly after leaving Fernac de Noronha on Thuirsday*morning.
