WORLD FLIGHT (By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright.) (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association? LONDON, May 12. Commander Blake’s world flight is arousing widespread interest. Scores of men and women have offered to accompany him. Lieut.-Colonel L. E. Broom, of the Engineers has been definitely chosen to take charge of the photographic and cinematographic work. He will also conduct geological explorations at certain points. Lieut.-Colonel Broom was formerly a civil engineer at Aleutian islands. TRANS-ATLANTIC FLIGHT RIO DE JANEIRO, May 12. The Portugese cruiser Republic has wirelessed that the two Portugese airmen attempting the Trans-Atlantic flight, have been picked up by the British steamer City of Paris. They fell into the sea shortly after leaving Fernac de Noronha on Thuirsday*morning.
