Mails for Fiji, Honolulu, Japan, Fanning Island, Canada, The United States, United Kingdom and Continent of Europe, close at Chief Post Office at 5.25 a.m. on Saturday, May 20, for despatch by s.s. Makura, from Auckland, 'ia Vancouver. MAY 25. Mails for Tonga, Samoa and Fiji close at Chief Post Office at 9.30 ajn. on Thursday, May 25, for despatch by s.s. Navua from Auckland. MAY 29. Mails from the United Kingdom are expected to reach Invercargill about May 29 ex s.B. Tahiti at Wellington from San Francisco. KING’S BIRTHDAY HOURS. The Post Office will be closed in all its branches on the King’s Birthday, June 3 Mails for despatch after 7.15 a.m. will close at that time. The Money Order and Savings Bank will be closed. The Telegraph Office at Invercargill will be open from 9 a.m. to noon, and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.; Bluff: 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.; Grore: 9 ajn. to 10 ajn.; and 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. All other sub-offices in the district will be closed.
