FLOODS IN ITALY
A TOWN ALMOST DESTROYED. (By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright.) (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) ROME, May 6. (Received May 7, 5.5 pm.) Owing to floods the town Corato, a place with 45,000 inhabitants, was almost destroyed. The damage amounts to two hundred million lire. The Chamber will vote P,000,000 lire for relief.
