THE LIQUOR QUESTION
ANGLICAN SYNOD RESOLUTION. (Per United Press Association.) AUCKLAND, May 5. Regarding the liquor question, the Anglican General Synod adopted a resolution put forward by the Primate in place of the motion previously moved by Archdeacon Chatterton." The Primate’s resolution reads:—“That this Synod expressed its strong conviction that it is the bounden duty of Christian people, unless they are prepared to vote for total prohibition, to have some other drastic remedy for an evil which is sapping the morals and efficiency of the community.”
