POSITION RAPIDLY IMPROVING. (By Telegraph—Frees Assn.—Copyright.) (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) WASHINGTON, May 4. (Received May 5, 8.30 pun.) Mr Mellon, appearing before the House Banking Committee, urged extension for another year of the War Finance Corporation, which makes loans to fanners. He declared that the financial position was rapidly improving and was well on the way to normal conditions, especially regarding agriculture and industry.
