Two charges of having published totalizator dividends were admitted by Samuel Nelson in the Police Court The charges related to races at Wellington and Paeroa, respectively. Chief-Detective Mcllveney said defendant was a bookmaker’s agent He received information as to dividends by wire and published them to bookmaker* at Auckland, Hamilton, and Frankton Junction. He lived by this means. Defendant had nothing to say and was fined £2O on each charge and allowed a month to pay.
