CANADIAN PROHIBITION

DOMINION WIDE LAW ASKED FOR. TO BE CONSIDERED BY CABINET. (By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright.) (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) (Received March 29, 5.5 p.m.) OTTAWA, March 28. The Premier, Mr King, replying to a delegation requesting that a measure be passed giving effect to dominion wide prohibition said, for his own part he did not believe in prohibition in anything, he preferred temperance in everything. He promised the suggestion for such a measure to supplant the present privincial liquor laws would receive the careful attention of the Cabinet, but, it could not be introduced during the present session, because ministers scarcely had time to familiarise themselves with their respective problems. He added that in considering any measure other than those relating to the manufacture, importation of exportation of liquors careful study would. be made of the United States experiment.
